Is Your 3D Printer Polluting Your Office Air? Here's the Fix.

Is Your 3D Printer Polluting Your Office Air? Here's the Fix.

Product Spotlight

UltiMaker
Air Manager

Keep your workspace clean, your prints consistent, and your S5 or S6 safely enclosed — all with one snap-on accessory.

95% ultrafine particles filtered

If you're running an UltiMaker S5 or S6 in a shared workspace, office, or lab, air quality probably isn't the first thing you think about — but it should be. Every FDM print releases ultrafine particles into the air, and many common filaments emit fumes that build up over time. The UltiMaker Air Manager was designed specifically to address this, and 3D3 Technology is proud to carry it.

Here's what makes it worth adding to your setup.

Why it stands out

Three things the Air Manager does well

🌬️

Smart Fan Speed

The fan automatically adjusts based on the material being printed, keeping the build area at the right temperature without guesswork.

🛡️

Added Safety

Fully encloses the S5 or S6, reducing accidental contact with hot components and limiting exposure to particle emissions.

🔧

Easy Install

No tools, no complicated setup. It sits on top of your printer and snaps into place in minutes.

Air Filtration

Up to 95% of ultrafine particles — gone

Ultrafine particles (UFPs) are the invisible byproduct of nearly every 3D print. They're small enough to bypass the body's natural defenses and accumulate in the lungs over time. The Air Manager uses an E10-rated filter to capture the vast majority of these particles at the source, before they ever reach the room.

Replacement E10 filters are readily available, making it easy to maintain peak filtration performance over the life of the unit.

A variable-speed fan that responds to your material means better prints and cleaner air — without lifting a finger.

Print Quality

Temperature control that adapts to your filament

Enclosing a printer does more than filter air — it stabilizes the build environment. The Air Manager's variable-speed fan actively regulates airflow based on what's being printed. Whether you're running PLA, ABS, or a high-performance engineering material, the system works to maintain the optimal thermal conditions for a successful print.

This matters most for materials that are sensitive to drafts or ambient temperature swings, where an unenclosed printer can produce warping, layer adhesion issues, or surface inconsistencies.

Installation

Snap on and start printing

The Air Manager is designed to fit directly on top of the UltiMaker S5 or S6, with no modifications required. It snaps into place securely and can be removed just as easily if needed. Installation takes minutes, not hours — there's no reason to delay protecting your team and your equipment.
